How events are detected
Every five minutes RateKite compares each actively tracked token with its own snapshot from about an hour earlier. An event is recorded once per token and type within a cooldown, so one move does not flood the feed. Thresholds:
- Liquidity drop: pool liquidity fell by 50% or more within about an hour, from at least $20K.
- Price surge / drop: the 1-hour price change is at least +50% or -50%, on pools with at least $25K of liquidity.
- Volume spike: 1-hour volume of at least $100K and 5× the average hourly volume of the last 24 hours, on pairs older than a day.
- New listing: a newly discovered token whose pair is under a day old and already holds $50K or more of liquidity.
- Risk jump: the automated Risk Score rose from below 60 to 75 or more within about an hour.
For the top coins (aggregated exchange prices) the worker checks every ten minutes:
- Big move: a 24-hour change of at least 7% for the top 20, 12% for ranks 21–100 and 20% for the rest.
- Volume spike: 24-hour volume at least 2.5× its average over the previous week.
- 30-day high / low and all-time high: the price passes its highest or lowest level of the last 30 days, or the provider records a new all-time high.
Events are facts about market data at the time they were detected, not predictions or recommendations. A liquidity drop can be an ordinary withdrawal; read the token page and the risk guides before drawing conclusions. Events are kept for 30 days.
